Like, six out of the nine babies in Hudson's class have RSV at the moment. Our DR said yesterday that every swab for RSV came back positive and they did them all day long. I said "at least it isn't the flu" and they reminded me that RSV really isn't any better, and get really serious, really quick.
So, Hudson has it. He has the congestion, semi runny nose and the worst part of it is the coughing. His poor little throat must be on fire! He has a double ear infection, RSV and "wheezy lungs", so we are on an antibiotic and breathing treatments three times a day. Poor little guy!
He isn't acting like he feels just terrible, but he isn't as happy as he normally is. He had fever last weekend, but this past weekend, his cough was just awful. Yesterday after work, Mark and I took him to the DR and he was wheezing, so we pretty much knew the diagnosis already.
So, I'm home with him today!
Here's to hoping those stinking breathing treatments work! I want my happy baby back!!

Daycare and Happenings!
Well, I went back to work and Hudson started daycare on Tuesday. I know this time of year that all the kids have snotty noses and they stay sick until warmer weather comes around, but I wasn't expecting all this! Hudson woke up with a little fever on Friday and it's just gotten worse since then. His little nose is so stopped up, all the drainage is upsetting his tummy and giving him diarrhea, he is having trouble drinking his bottles so he is throwing them up quite often, and his little eyes are just watering like crazy. Poor baby! He is asleep on Daddy's chest right now. I think cuddling makes him feel a little better. The boy LOVES to cuddle. I know it won't be like that forever, so I'm taking full advantage of it now! =)
Back tracking a bit - last Friday, Hudson and I went out for a day on the town. We hadn't been out in a while and I knew with going back to work soon that we would both miss not having anything to do. So, we went to lunch with our cousins Lavinia and Drake! Drake is two weeks younger than Hudson and he is so stinking cute! I can't wait to see how the two interact as they get older! I hope that they love spending time together!

We had to go by the daycare and turn in some papers, so we did that! We were there for quite a while! Everyone wanted to see my new little guy! They all thought he was just the cutest! As if we didn't know that already! Just look at this face! Haha! =)

We also ended up taking Hudson's first trip to the park! My friend Brittany and her daughter Brynlee were already there, so we decided to join! Brynlee is the sweetest, smartest little girl! Brittany was taking a picture of her and Hudson together and she grabbed his hand to hold it. Melt me, why don't you?! Hudson wasn't too sure about that big, round, bright thing in the sky, but he will eventually love it! He did great!

Back to present time, haha - Mark has been really good about getting Hudson fed and dressed for the day. I would have to wake up around 4 or so if I wanted to do it all myself, so I'm very thankful for his help! I think Hudson enjoys that time with Daddy, also - even if he is half asleep! Haha!

So, we are hoping that Hudson won't get any more sick than he already is. There are a lot of things going around daycare at the moment, but with the weather and this time of year, it's to be expected! Unfortunately!

Daycare has been tuckering our little man out! He gets home and he is just so tired! He has been sleeping really well at night, just waking up once or twice. Sooo thankful for that because I was beginning to think it was just never going to happen!
Until next time! =)

((This was not from lunch, but from a photo shoot Lavi did with the boys! Please excuse Hudson's old man hairstyle! He was losing it, which made for weird bald spots, but it's getting better now! Poor little guy! Hahaha! ))

Back vs Tummy Time
Hudson LOVES his Ocean Wonders play mat! As long as he is on his back, that is!

Look at those big, beautiful, blue eyes! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they stay blue!

What is that thing saying "quack, quack"?
Hello there, handsome fellow!
And so, tummy time begins!
Disclaimer: no babies were harmed in the making of these photographs!
Giving up ...

He found a nice snack and went off to dreamland shortly after!
I think tummy time is the loser today!

A quarter of a year!
Today, January 1, Mr. Man turned three months old! These months have flown by and I would really be okay with them slowing down. However, we are seriously enjoying our happy little guy.

Bath time is still his most favorite thing ever! He kicks and kicks and splashes and jumps! He loves it! That is, until he has to be taken out. You better have a warm bottle, a body and a diaper ready! Pronto!
His other new favorite thing is sucking on his hands. He has really discovered his hands now. It's hilarious! We think if he opens just a little bit wider, he could stick his fist inside of his mouth.
He smiles all the time now. He is even starting to laugh more regularly. It melts the both of us. He really does have the absolute best and biggest smile! My favorite smile is when his eyes squint because he is smiling so big. He usually does this in the car while I'm riding beside him. I will look over and he will be staring at me and smiling so big. It's the sweetest thing. I tear up every time. Haha!
Thanks to cradle cap, he is balding quite well. It will grow back, yes, but that beautiful hair he had when he was born is mostly gone. He still has it in the back, just on top is missing. It looks pretty funny so we have resorted to cute hats for winter until it grows back!
He is a champ at keeping his head steady unless you happen to walk by the picture of Audrey Hepburn that is in our room. In which case, you better hold on tight because he is going to whip his entire body around to be able to see her. What can I say? He likes classy ladies already!
He used to enjoy tummy time a lot more than he does now. The first five minutes are torturous, then he eventually just falls asleep.
Hudson is also quite the chunk. Today on the scale, he is weighing in at a whopping 14.5 pounds! His thighs are yummy, his belly is adorable and his cheeks just look delicious! He is perfect! =)
I know this sounds silly, but he is becoming more and more 'human' every day! I know he is a human (obviously), but you know - he doesn't just lay around and sleep all the time anymore. He loves to talk, smile, stare and giggle. We have been blessed with a happy baby!

2012!
We have big plans for the year 2012! Hudson knows! Haha!
A few resolutions for myself (this is Haley) -
- stop worrying so much
- get back in to shape (like, for real)
- and get organized!

A new kind of Christmas ...
Ladies and gentlemen, Christmas as we know it has changed!
With the arrival of Hudson this year, we have so many new and different things to look forward to! So far this holiday season, I have seriously enjoyed dressing him in ridiculously cute outfits! He is still too young for a lot of the traditions I want him to enjoy growing up, but they involve The Nutcracker, Harry Connick, Jr. (love that man), Christmas pajamas and lots and lots of reading and baking with Mommy and Daddy!
This year, Hudson met Santa three times and he loved him! He gave him a big smile each time (even though the second time he was sleeping)! He also got some pretty awesome gifts this year - from clothes and toys to books and Santa plates, I think it's safe to say that he was not forgotten. Haha! He is such a loved little boy!
For me, growing up, Christmas was absolutely magical! If we can give Hudson half the Christmas experience I had, I will be happy! However, as Christmas crazy as I am, I think we will surpass that! Hudson really is sweeter than buttermilk pie. I have said it before, I will say it again - we are so lucky to be his parents. Our first Christmas with him was pure joy!

RSV
I. hate. RSV!
Hudson is fine one second and coughing up a lung the next! It doesn't bother him, but I can't stand to see him struggling to cough like he is! However, I know it could be a lot worse and I'm thankful that it isn't. We are getting in a lot of cuddle time!
We have been to the DR three times in the last week. I can't help it! Every little thing I don't think is right, I call and they get us right in! They are awesome!
Hudson's DR is really nice! He likes Hudson and Hudson likes him! He turned to ask me how Hudson was feeling, if he had been extra fussy or something, then turned back to look at Hudson and Hudson was smiling at him. Well, I guess that answers that! =)
We have a sweet little boy, even when he isn't feeling well!
