While I do not need this month to realize that I am blessed beyond words, it is a good excuse for a project, so to speak. Here's how it works: since November is the month of Thanksgiving (as well as my favorite month of the year), each day in this month, I will post something I am thankful for. They won't be in any particular order of importance, it will simply depend on my feelings of the day. Of course, I have way more than thirty things I am thankful for, but considering how regularly I blog ... well, let's just say that I will be lucky to make it through these thirty days!
So, 'thirty days of thanks', here we go!

Day 1. I am forever thankful for my home.
When Mark and I first walked through our house, we were shocked at the way the people who were here before us lived - they simply had no respect for this place. I have pictures that would make someone wonder why we even signed the papers in the first place. Something about this house just had us! It grabbed our attention in a way that the other hundred houses we looked at didn't. It isn't perfect, it still has it's faults, but we have made this our home - our first home, at that. This is where we laugh, we smile, we play, we cry, we argue and we plan for our future together. I would not have it any other way.
